Bloodwork were founded in the summer of 2006 by singer David und guitarist and songwriter Nikko. At the beginning of 2007 a coherent lineup was found in David (vocals), Nikko (guitar/vocals), Robert (guitar), Frank (bass) and Moritz (drums). Their first Promo CD already had quite an impact on the german metal scene. Besides winning „Demo Of The Month“ in german Metalhammer,
the band also was able to show their live-capabilities, and as a result won the national finale of the W:O:A Metal Battle, which brought the band to play The Wacken Open Air in 2008. A few weeks later Bloodwork also played at the
Summer Breeze Open Air. In early 2009 Bloodwork signed with Dockyard1
Records and shortly afterwards released their debut-album „The Final End Principle“, which was received very well and even scored a 4th place in german Metal Hammer's monthly poll. In spring 2009 Bloodwork went on tour with the
danish Thrashmetal act Hatesphere. During 2009 Bloodwork had two shows at the Wacken Open Air and played several festivals. Even the follow up to „The Final End Principle“ is in preparation, with a release planned for 2010. |
